Production

How the work
actually gets made.

Every MIRAI production runs the same five phases. The tools change constantly. The decision structure does not — because that is what protects the brand, the story and the schedule.

The five phases

Diagnose before
you direct.

  1. 01

    Diagnose the brief

The production starts with the communication problem — not a prompt and not a tool. We define what the work must achieve, who it must reach, and which risks it carries before any visual decision is made.

  2. 02

    Lock the composition

The director defines frame logic, visual hierarchy and what the audience must feel. Composition is decided before generation begins, so the model is answering a question rather than inventing one.

  3. 03

    Build the world

Environment, atmosphere, light and visual language are developed as one repeatable system — so a campaign holds together across every asset rather than drifting frame to frame.

  4. 04

    Engineer consistency

Characters are versioned across angles, expressions and scenes until they can carry a complete sequence. This is the difference between a striking single image and a film.

  5. 05

    Direct the motion

Movement, edit and sound complete the frame. The model supplies options; the director controls the final film — and the master is checked against the intention set in phase one.

Common questions

Answered plainly.

Which studio in Malaysia produces AI commercial films and brand films?

MIRAI Labo by Ronin XP is an AI-native production studio based in Kuala Lumpur. We produce AI-directed commercials, brand films, virtual human campaigns and original animation. Every defining creative decision — concept, frame, light, performance, cut — is made by the director rather than accepted from a model.

What is AI-directed production, and how is it different from AI-generated content?

AI-generated content is whatever the model returns from a prompt. AI-directed production treats the model as a camera: the brief is diagnosed first, composition is locked before generation begins, character consistency is engineered across scenes, and every output is reviewed against the original intention. The difference is authorship, not tooling.

Can AI-produced content be used by banks and regulated brands?

It already has been. MIRAI Labo has delivered work for CIMB through a regulated Malaysian financial institution's full brand, legal and compliance approval chains. Every delivered asset carries C2PA provenance metadata and is entered in a public registry, so compliance teams review a traceable file rather than taking a vendor's word.

Who owns the rights to the finished work?

The client. Every engagement transfers full ownership of final deliverables to the brand — no licensing renewals, no usage windows, no talent residuals. There is no actor whose likeness expires and no stock asset with a term limit.

What is a virtual human and what problem does it solve?

A virtual human is brand talent the brand actually owns: no usage-fee renewals, no scheduling conflicts, no scandal exposure, no aging. MIRAI engineers virtual ambassadors to locked design specifications and maintains character fidelity across every campaign touchpoint.

Does MIRAI Labo take briefs from outside Malaysia?

Yes. The studio is based in Kuala Lumpur and anchored in the Malaysian and Southeast Asian market, but synthesized production has no geography. Regional and international briefs are accepted on the same terms as local ones: the founder reads the brief, and we respond within three working days.
